About: Cranberry glass or 'Gold Ruby' glass is a red glass made by adding gold salts or colloidal gold to molten glass giving it that lovely cranberry pink colour. It reached its height of popularity in the Victorian era and you can find all kinds of blown glass objects. Our more modern glass is a little heavier and tends to be a little more "purple" than its Victorian counterpart.
